Appointed as Human Resource Director for the fast paced, global industry leader The Travel Corporation (TTC) in June 2012 reporting to the CEO, Lorelle was previously the Global HR General Manager at Breville reporting to the CEO and was Board Secretary for the People and Performance Committee. TTC covers 60 countries with in excess of 2 million guests and 30 winning brands including Contiki, Trafalgar Holidays, Uniworld boutique cruises and Red Carnation Hotels.

With 4 years partnering CEOs and Board members, and 20 years expertise in strategic and operational Employee Relations and Organisational Development across a number of high profile online and traditional companies from diverse industries. Lorelle Cooney has a track record of thinking big and leveraging corporate best practice HR to innovatively apply in agile, complex settings. These include, large and small organizations in Technology (Telstra and Invizage), Tourism, Finance (ANZ, Nab, UBank and nab.com.au), Aviation (Qantas Corporate), Manufacturing (Qantas Catering, Breville) and Retail.

Lorelle enjoys learning and applying new ideas to enable organisational vision. 3 key professional highlights include Board approval of innovative HR papers across various industries, a 41% increase in staff satisfaction during 3 concurrent EBA negotiations which delivered substantial strategic remuneration corrections, and the creation of a self-funded Talent program in 1 year.

Giving back to the community underpins Lorelle’s personal and work history. Current contributions include pro bono HR work for The Smith Family, and fund raising for Mission Australia and The Ronald MacDonald House.

Lorelle holds a MBA (HRM) from Monash University (Merit awards for Supply Chain Management, and International Business Management), a Masters in Services Marketing from Monash University, Post Graduate Diploma in HR and Industrial Relations from Melbourne University, and B.Arts (English Honours) from Monash University.
